Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Catalog Sneak Peek number 4: Build A Birthday!

Happy Tuesday!

I have yet another Sneak Peek for you! I have some creative juices flowing and some time to be crafty so I am getting to share more creations than usual! This card showcases a new stamp set and a new In Color – Mint Macaron. Check it out:

Build a Birthday

This card is so soothing. I LOVE these colors together. The funny thing is Mint Macaron really looks like a green color, but when you put it with Pool Party and Soft Sky (as I did here) it takes on a blueish color. How awesome is that?  This color is like a two for one! All of the stamps used to make this card are part of the Build A Birthday stamp set which is coming your way soon! I did each part of the cake in a different color.  The cute little flower embellishments are also a new item and the pretty blueish green flower is Mint Macaron. The Taupe color is called Tip Top Taupe. It is a really nice neutral that I can see using quite a bit in my stamping. I decided to fussy cut the sentiment. I love the simplicity of this card.

I am entering this card in the challenge over at Sunday Stamps as they have a blue color challenge right now. Their challenge photo also has black in it, but I felt like black just did not work with this particular layout so I am just using the blue and neutral colors.

It is Tuesday so we also have the weekly deals. Here they are:

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Balloons that POP!

Hey there crafty folks!

I have a fun birthday card to share with you that showcases some of the Stampin’ Up! retiring paper. Now when I say POP I don’t mean pop your balloon, I mean make your balloon POP on the card! I seem to be using a lot of gold lately and this card has lots of it.

Celebrate Today

See how the balloon POPS!  It is that pretty Gold Foil paper and when you emboss it, it looks even better!  I have been saving that adorable balloon paper for far too long.  I have a cute little girl that will be receiving this card for her birthday and that paper seemed like the perfect fit. The Birthday Bash DSP is from our occasions catalog and will only be available till June 2nd so don’t miss grabbing it if you love it like me! All the stamps used for this card are from the Celebrate Today stamp set that is also in our occasions catalog.

I am entering this card in the CAS-ual Fridays blog as their current theme is a birthday card using Black, White, Orange & Turquoise. 3 out of 4 ain’t bad, right?

Hope you are having a great day!

Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Catalog Sneak Peek number 3 – Gold Graduation Card

Happy Sunday!

I am back with another sneak peek of some fun items coming up in the new catalog. However, this card is actually a nice mix of old and new.  It has some retired products, Some retiring products, some current products and some yet to come products! How about that? I will be sure to make suggestions on how you can alter things to make a similar card even though some items are not available.

Graduation Card

Okay lets start with the retired product. It is the pretty Cherry Cobble Ribbon I used. Actually, you CAN still get this item and it is at a big discount, but there is no telling how long it will be available! If you don’t have it, you could easily replace that with red paper to make it look nearly the same. The retiring product used is the cute little star clip. This is part of the Basic Hodgepodge Clips embellishments available and this one won’t be available anymore after June! If you don’t have these, you could also stamp and punch out a star using the Itty Bitty Accent Punch instead. Current products include the Gold Sequins Trim, The White Cotton Ribbon, the Gold Fancy Foil Vellum and of course all the cardstock used is current.   Now on to the new stuff:

See that cute little Way To Go stamp? That is part of a brand new stamp set coming out in the 2015-2016 catalog called I Think You’re Great. It is perfect for the kissing technique.  I chose not to use that technique on this card, but it comes with two super cute stamps to make things really kicked up a notch when you do the kissing. Though you can’t see it well, I also used another new stamp. It is from the You’ve Got This stamp set and has a really cool background stamp. I used that with versamark and embossed it with gold on black paper so it would really give the card some extra dimention.  I will try to use that cool stamp in another card soon so I can really show it off.

One more thing you probably can’t see well is that I actually embossed the Way To Go Stamp with Iridescent Ice.  Here is a close up so you can see how cool the Iridescent Ice looks:

I sure hope the recipient likes their card! I need to get this one sent pretty quick because I have two people graduating that need cards and one is next weekend!

I am entering this card in the challenge over at TGIF Challenges as their current theme is Congratulations Grad!

I hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks!

Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Catalog Sneak Peek Number 2!

Happy Saturday!

I am finally back after a tough work week to share more goodies from the upcoming new Stampin’ Up Catalog!  This fun card is a good one to use for those men in your life. Bold, masculine colors and masculine design. Please let me also say that it could easily be used for your female friends too, but I am adding this one to my “man cards” pile. 🙂

Bohemian Borders Card

This cards shows of some of the awesome new bohemian inspired items coming in the new catalog.  First, the diamond shapes on the left of the card were made with two stamps that come in the set. I stamped the Island Indigo for the outside diamond then used the smaller diamond stamp to add in the new Delightfully Dijon color.   I cut out each diamond I stamped and adhered it to the card with dimensionals to give it some pop! Along the side of the diamonds is one of the borders in the set stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  The paper is one of the new DSP’s offered in the catalog called Bohemian DSP. The semtiment is from another new stamp set called Build A Birthday.  I also used the new Banner Triple Punch to make a perfectly shaped banner! I finished it off with the Candy Dot Brad Bases and added in Island Indigo Candy Dots.

I am entering this challenge over at Fab Friday since I followed their current sketch to make the card!

I hope to have more sneak peeks for you again soon!

Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Catalog Sneak Peek Number 1 and the weekly deals!

I am excited to report I have received some of the sneak peek items I shared with you last week! Of course the minute I got the box it felt like Christmas and I had to open it right away and start to play. I know that once you see some of the adorable items that are coming out in the new Stampin’ Up 2015-2016 Catalog, you too will bet getting very excited.

The sneak peek I have for you today is mostly paper and In colors. As usual, Stampin’ Up has come up with 5 beautiful new In Colors for 2 year period.  These new ones will be available from 2015-2017. The colors are chosen with the most current trends in mind, so you will probably love them right along with some of your favorite home and clothing fashions. I wanted to make something quick that could be used for lots of occasions, so here it is:

Stampin Up Annual Catalog 2015-2017 Sneak Peek 1

This card showcases lots of fun new goodies coming your way in June!  First the adorable patterned paper is from a new paper pack called Cherry On Top. This pack is filled with fun, summery looking paper that would be great for many occasions.  Check out that “too cute for words” ribbon and flower embelishment! The new Dotted Lace Trim is available in all 5 In Colors and will work with many types of creations.  The cute little flower embellishment comes in all five In Colors with 4 of each color in the pack.  The base color of the card is one of the new In Colors – Cucumber Crush. Another In Color shown is the strip of Tip Top Taupe right behind the pretty lace.  This card was very simple to make and could be turned into a birthday card, a congratulatory card or general thinking of you card by simply adding the right sentiment inside. The sentiment is part of the Crazy About You stamp set which is actually in our current Occasions catalog.   I made this card by using lots of different sizes of circle punches and layering them with the Cucumber Crush paper. I would say it took me all of 10 minutes to make it, so this is definitely one to consider when you are on the go.

I hope you are enjoying this sneak peek! I will try to come up with a few more over the next few weeks so you can see all the wonderful new sets we have available to play with very soon.

The Weekly Deals also came out so here there are:

Weekly Deals May 12 through May 18 2015

Have a fantastic week and I will be back with more fun stuff to share as soon as I can!
