I wanted to be sure I posted the new weekly deals today before the day got away from me so here they are!
Lots of fun stuff on the weekly deals this week so don’t miss out!
I am posting this late tonight and need to get up early so instead of one of my creations, check out this video that highlights one of the great new products available in the holiday catalog – The Jingle All The Way Bundle.
I am taking a day off from Halloween goodies to share another bokeh card I made. I previously made a card using the bokeh technique earlier this year. You can see it by clicking here. I decided I wanted to try it again, but I changed it up a little by using stars instead!
I like the star variation very much. Have you tried the Bokeh technique yet? It really isn’t difficult, but it sure gives your card a pretty POW! To make this card I started with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I then used a sponge to color in the cardstock with Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and a little Tangelo Twist between the transitioning colors. I put the color on with a circular motion and kept melding the colors together until I liked how it looked. Once that was dry I took a piece of paper and cut out all the different size stars I wanted to use to make a stencil. It looks like this:
I then placed that on top of my card and randomly sponged in the stars with Craft White ink. I overlapped many of the stars as this is what really makes it have more of a bokeh appearance. The craft ink needs a fair amount of time to dry so I set it aside for about an hour and then came back to finish the card. The sentiment is from The Big News stamp set and the star is from the Be The Star stamp set. These are stamped in Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey. I added the pretty 5/8 inch striped cotton ribbon and some Rhinestones to finish it off.
I am entering this card into the challenge over at the Fusion Card Challenge blog. The blues and yellows in their inspiration picture really helped me pick the colors I wanted to use on this card. Here is the Fusion inspiration I used:
I hope you find some time to be crafty today and thanks for stopping by!
Hi Crafty Friends!
I am back again with more Halloween goodies! Today I tried a card with very similar features and just a few minor changes to see what I liked best. See what you think!
Here is the first one I did:
This is a fast Halloween card using only two colors of paper, three colors of ink, and washi tape.
One the next card I tried a slight variation with the same supplies:
I simply added the spider to the witches hat instead of hanging him on a web and I colored in less of the hat. For both the hats I actually used my blender pens and the Tangelo Twiest stamp pad for coloring.
I decided to try one more variation of this card.
For this one I used the Sweet Hauntings Stamp set and the A Little Something stamp set for the spiders. I wanted it to look like the spiders were just starting to run across the card! I used some washi tape because I wanted to bring in the Rich Razzleberry color, but then I chose to use the Happy Haunting DSP paper instead of the rest of the Happy Haunting washi tape set. I tied the tag on with some of the Basic Black Bakers Twine and I added that cut out circle in the back to just give it a little extra something.
So which one do you like best? I still don’t know which one is my favorite. Good thing I don’t have to choose, because I am sending them all to someone! 😉
The new weekly deals start today so here they are!
The Star framelits are on the weekly deals, WOOHOO! I can’t tell you how often I use these! Don’t miss out on the great deals because each item’s sale price is offered in limited quantities.
I hope you enjoyed more Halloween goodies!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I hope you aren’t getting sick of my Halloween cards yet…. I just love making them so much I can’t stop! I wanted to use some more of the stamps from the adorable Howl-O-Ween Treat stamp set and I came up with this!
I can’t seem to get enough of these Spider Web Doilies! There are so many things you with them! On this card I chose to snip off the littler Fleur De Lis so I could get a slightly different look. I also cut out the center of the doily and put a plain circle of Very Vanilla in the opening so the Owl would look like he is poking through the web. To make it have a little more pizzazz I made a ring of to outline the web with my circle framelits out of the Black Glimmer Paper. I also used this paper as an accent layer with the pretty Striped Cotton Ribbon in Tangelo Twist. The patterned paper is part of the Happy Haunting DSP. I added a bunch of spiders at the top to make it look like they were running out of the web. These are part of the stamp set called A Little Something. The cute little BOO sentiment is from the Happy Scenes stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this card!
The weekly deals came out yesterday so here they are!
I finally had some more time to be crafty so I dove back into making Halloween cards. This card shows a great way to use your washi tape!
This was a fast and easy card to make. First, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4 x 51/4. Then, I simply used the Happy Haunting Washi Tape to make my background. This makes it seem like I have a whole new selection of Designer Series Paper! I then cut a strip of DSP from the Happy Haunting paper and layered it on top of Basic Black cardstock. The Spooky stamp is part of the Among The Branches Stamp set and the cute little spider is from the Howl-O-Ween Treat stamp set. I had half of a Spider Web Doily leftover from another project so I tucked that in behind the stamped images.
Are you making Halloween cards? I have lots more to go!
Hope you get to be crafty today!
