Hello Crafty Friends!
Sometimes I sit down to make a card and think, I want to come up with something easy to make that doesn’t look too simple. I decided to make some of my thinlits the main focus of my card and came up with this!
I started with the Thick Whisper White cardstock since I had no layers for this card. Then I cut out the smaller butterfly In Smoky Slate from the Neutral DSP. I liked the way the words looked on the butterfly. Next I cut out the small flower from the Rose Garden Thinlits in Melon Mambo. Then I also cut out the leaves from that thinlit set in Mint Macaron. Finally I stamped the Smaller flowers using the Bloomin’ Love stamp set and matching thinlits. I used Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride ink for these flowers. I then used the Timeless Textures set and stamped a background in Smoky Slate and Mint Macaroon. I finishe it off with Rhinestones on the flowers and a few random ones as well. The Sentiment is part of the Rose Wonder stamp set. That’s it! It is simple but still pretty!

Now on to my projects! My first project is a cute little birthday card.
I wanted this card to look like a barn door was opening and the horse was peeking out with his friends the duck and chick close by. Did it work? I think so! To make that barn door I simply stamped Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand paper with the Hardwood stamp. Then I cut strips out to make the barn door Z. I stamped the animals in Memento Black ink and colored them in using my blender pens with Sahara Sand and Daffodil Delight ink. The 1st place ribbon was stamped in Island Indigo and I fussy cut it out so I can add it to the prize winning horse.
I wanted the inside of the card to tie in to the front so I simply added the birthday sentiment and as well as the sentiment indicating the recipient should have an award winning day!
Now lets see the cute little treat box I made!
This box was made using the Baker’s Box Thinlit Die. I chose to use the Pig stamp because inside of the box there are Hersheys Hugs and Kisses. Get it? 🙂 Since hugs and kisses is the theme, I also used the xoxo stamp from the Beautiful Ride stamp set and randomly stamped that on the medallion on the front. The hearts were all punched out using the Owl Punch. To color in my pig I used some Copic Sketch Markers in the following colors:RV000 and RV52.

Hello my friends!
I want to share a card I made quite some time ago but completely forgot to post! This one is an easy card to make but still grabs your attention.
I had fun making this card because I got to use my paper piercing supplies which I often forget to use! It appears in the picture that I used Very Vanilla cardstock, but it is actually Whisper White. I started by stamping the star on the paper and then I laid the star paper piercing template from the Eclectic set over the star and did my punching. I made the long spaced out punches using the Updated Essential Paper Piercing template. I added a sentiment from the Something To Say stamp set and finished things off with a rhinestone and a pretty bow in Rich Razzelberry to match the ink I used.
I don’t have any more weekly deals to report since those have now ended, but the retiring stamps list came out today so you will want to be sure to review this and identify any favorite stamps you don’t want to miss out on getting before they are gone.
Retiring products can have discounts of up to 50% off, but, they will only be available until May 31, or while supplies last. You can click on the picture below to see the full list online. Happy Shopping!!
Thanks for stopping by by and go be creative if you can!
Hello My Craft Friends,
Today I am sharing a creation I made with the Balloon Celebration set. If I am being honest, I have gone back and forth about whether or not I like these colors together. I was trying to do something I don’t normally do. I finished the card and thought, “I like it”. I think I still like it, but something about it keeps saying….do these colors work? Tell me what you think!
The colors used for this card are Pool Party and Blackberry Bliss with gold accents. I think the card is growing on me. I REALLY wanted to use the adorable little Bow Paper Clips and the pretty Pool Party Glitter Ribbon because I had not yet found a project for those items. The bold Blackberry Bliss and soothing Pool Party seemed like a perfect match for Gold and Glitter, so this card was born. It was a relatively simple card to make. The trickiest part? Stamping those stars perfectly. Blackberry Bliss can be a tricky color to work with on white because if you get some on your hands….you quickly mess up the whole card! Anyway, I hope this card is a cute one and whenever I send it to someone they don’t say…..what was she thinking? 😉
Yesterday marks the beginning of the last week of Weekly deals! Be sure to check out the list to see if there is anything you must have at these great prices!
Hope you are having a good week and thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hello my crafty friends!
I am back with a very quick card. I never really like to think about making sympathy cards when it is time for them, so I try to make a few now and then so I have them on hand. That way if I am not feeling so creative with the situation, it does not show in my card. Here is one you could make when you are short on time.
I started with a Tip Top Taupe base. Then I stamped the Hardwood Background stamp on Very Vanilla paper using Sahara Sand. I cut the Rose thinlit out with Tip Top Taupe and adhered it to the card with my Fine Tip Glue. I added the Sahara Sand Lace trim and cut out the sentiment with my Extra Large Oval punch. The sentiment was stamped with Tip Top Taupe. It is a simple but elegant card that someone will appreciate in a difficult time.
I have news regarding the weekly deals. Looks like they will stop offering these as of April 18th 2016. The good news is they have many more available than usual to go out with a bang. Check out the great deals!
How about that, the very thinlits I used for this card are on sale! You should get them at this great price while you can!!
Don’t be too sad about the weekly deals going away. Stampin’ Up! has indicated they will have periodic sales that will be just as great from time to time.
Hope you are having a good week and that you find time to be crafty!
