A Christmas card for the last minute card maker…like me!

Hello Crafty Friends,

To say I have had limited time to be creative these last few months is an understatement.  I didn’t even have time to make all the Christmas cards I usually do.  I only had time to make a small amount and some of those had to be quick.  The card I am sharing with you today is one of those quick cards that is great for making something pretty when you are short on time.

To start this card I used Tip Top Taupe as my card base.  Then cut a layer of Garden Green and a slightly smaller layer of Cherry Cobbler. Then I grabbed my This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper  and cut 1 1/4 inch strips in three different designs. I layered those on top of the Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green layer and added some 1/4 inch Gold Natural Trim.   Next it was time to do some stamping so I got out my Versamark and stamped with one of the pretty sentiments from the Christmas Pines stamp set.  I added my Gold Embossing powder and heat set it.  The then got out my Lots of Labels framelits and cut out the sentiment and a layer of Cherry Cobbler.  I adhered this to the card and finished everything off with some of the Metallic Enamel Shapes in Gold.  I also added bits of clear Wink of Stella in various places on the paper to give it some more sparkle.  That is all this is too it!  Once the pieces are cut it came together quite quickly.

It seems I also missed the beginning of a sale while I have been so busy.  It is closeout time!

I hope you have had more time that me to get your Christmas Card all finished.  Now I plan to focus on spending time with family and then after Christmas I can get back to creating!

Merry Christmas!
